- Profile data, such as your avatar, bio, public profile details, and any settings you configure.
- Social and activity data, such as follows, friendships, likes, comments, reactions, unread counts, blocked users, and partner request status for Daily Moment features.
- User content, such as photos, videos, captions, tagged users, post location data, music metadata, Daily Moment captures, direct messages, and voice messages that you upload or send through the service.
- Device and technical data, such as device information, app and device identifiers, session tokens, push notification tokens, platform details, request metadata, timestamps, and security logs.
- Safety and support data, such as reports, complaint descriptions, moderation outcomes, and messages you send to us when you request help or report abuse.
Some permissions are optional. For example, camera, microphone, photo library, and location data are only accessed if you grant permission and use a feature that needs them.
3. How We Use Information
We use information we collect to run the service and support the features you expect from Manques.
- To create and manage accounts, authenticate users, and maintain active sessions.
- To power profiles, posts, conversations, Daily Moment participation, and other social features.
- To store, process, and deliver media and messages that you choose to upload or send.
- To send product, security, and transactional communications, including push notifications.
- To detect abuse, investigate reports, enforce our rules, and keep users safe.
- To debug issues, prevent fraud, monitor reliability, and improve performance and feature quality.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we generally process your personal data on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract, when we need the information to provide the service you requested.
- Legitimate interests, such as keeping the platform secure, preventing abuse, improving features, and maintaining reliable operations.

6. Data Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Manques, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and protect the safety of users and the service.
- Account and profile data are generally retained while your account remains active.
- Session records are retained until they expire, are refreshed, or are revoked on logout.
- Posts, messages, media, and Daily Moment content are retained until you delete them, your account is closed, or we need to remove them for moderation or legal reasons.
- Reports, blocks, security records, and moderation history may be retained longer when necessary to investigate abuse, comply with law, or defend legal claims.
- Backup copies may persist for a limited additional period before being overwritten or deleted.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
- Update profile information and certain settings from the app when those controls are available.
- Disable push notifications through your device settings or in-app controls.
- Withdraw optional permissions, such as camera, microphone, photos, or location, in your device settings.
- Request access, correction, deletion, or portability by contacting us.
- If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Until self-service account deletion is fully available across the product, deletion requests can be sent to support@manques.app.
8. Security and International Transfers
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data, including access controls, password hashing, and protected infrastructure. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Manques may rely on infrastructure and service providers that process data in countries other than your own. Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
9. Children and Updates
Manques is not directed to children under 13, and you should not use the service if you are below the minimum age required by the laws in your jurisdiction to consent to digital services.
